The camels are milked twice a day. In total they give 5 to 6 liters of milk per day.

About 100 one-humped camels are walking around the Camel Dairy Farm. But not all camels are milked, that is to say there are also calves and pregnant camels. A camel only produces milk when it has given birth to a calf. Then she gives milk for 1 to 1.5 years.

A camel gives 5 to 6 liters of milk per day. But for this we have to milk them twice a day, so they give 2 to 3 liters at a time. This happens in the morning at 7:00 am and in the evening at 5:30 pm.

Four camels can enter the milking parlor at the same time. then the calves are placed with the respective mothers. The calves start drinking and ensure that the camel "lets go" of the milk. Then we can hang the milking cluster underneath. When the camel's udder is almost empty, she stops giving milk, she always keeps something for her calf. We then remove the milk set and then mother and calf go into the stable together. The calf then drinks the last of its milk. After that, both the dairy animals and the calves are given chunks so that they get enough nutrients to produce milk and / or to grow.
